wine country estate & design.

one of our recent projects was developing a brand for a new business in Healdsburg called Wine Country Estate & Design.

Wine Country Estate & Design is a one-stop creative marketplace housing affordable consignment pieces, new furnishings, upholstery, cabinetry and original art work. the store owners, Ron Baker and Kelly Silverstein also combine their expertise to provide full interior design and professional estate sales services.

Ron and Kelly were looking for a clean, approachable brand that balanced modern and rustic and they wanted a logo that was flexible enough to fit into numerous formats for the many arms of their business. we developed their central logo first–pictured above–and from that we created two other iterations that they can apply to signage, hang tags, marketing materials, etc.

this project changed shape as it progressed. the initial request was for an icon mark to pair with the name that incorporated the initials WCED. we worked in that direction during our first round of proofs but we all agreed that the acronym felt empty at the brand new point in the business and decided instead to use the icon mark to help define the services of their business to the public. we played with a few options in the furnishing realm but eventually settled on the broader concept of a house. we gave it some depth to complement the type and to imply that the breadth of their services applied to the space and furnishings found inside a home.

we then got to have some fun applying their rich color palette we developed for the brand to their business cards…
