we just branded a bakery…a gluten free bakery. bliss bakery.
this could possibly be one of the most perfect jobs for us, ever. if you know us, you know we’re both gluten free and have a gluten free blog and a gluten free sweets cookbook. so when a past client of ours, ms. maria balme came to us with the news that she was opening a gluten free bakery in santa rosa and wanted us to design her logo, the clouds parted and it started raining gf cookies and muffins. well, that’s what it felt like on the inside. maria is an instructor at bauman college of holisitic nutrition and culinary arts and the owner of persimmon catering…so she knows what she’s doing in the kitchen.
maria wanted a modern look that would appeal to everyone and allow for her to build on it as she expanded her business. we visited the space and talked paint colors, furniture materials and signage to get an idea of what would represent her best. she chose a simple logo with a bright color–a style tone that mimics the interior of the bakery with a neutral background of metal and wood complemented by bright accent colors throughout the space.
bliss bakery will open this friday, october 1 at 8am. it’s located at 463 sebastopol ave in santa rosa’s, south A arts district. this will be the first gluten free bakery in sonoma county!
they will be serving up delicious gluten free food for the masses in the form of all kinds of baked goods, paninis, soups, salads, savory tarts, the list goes on. in addition to their own baked goods, bliss bakery will also carry a number of gluten free products by various vendors. so stop by to check out their inventory.

there’s a gluten free bakery in riverton, wyoming, for crying out loud. kudos for opening the first gf bakery, maria, and what a great brand to start business with!

it is not our bakery, we just designed their logo. they do have a few vegan items sometime though. call and talk to maria. she is very helpful.

went there. the blondie was amazing. the mocha chocolate thing seemed either overcooked or old. im a chef, so that is not a personal opinion, it is a professional opinion. the chocolate topping tasted cheap.
THE ON TAP KOMBUCHA WAS AWESOME
Can’t wait to go back and try the tomato tart.
I am not a vegan. Or gluten/lactose free. I simply enjoy quality food.

My wife just came back with a biscuit with gravy. Yum! And i am looking forward to digging around in that box of cookies later after dinner… Also, the biz card is very nice! Done by the same folks that did my card, they are awesome!

Please update the days you are open for business. I took the information from your website and showed up on Sunday afternoon to purchase gluten-free items for a family member with Celiac (visiting from out of town), only to find you were closed. I was disappointed.
