dig in.

here at notion:creative we are conducting an ongoing study regarding the phenomenon that we refer to as “same brain”.

we wouldn’t be partners if we didn’t have similar taste in design and style but sometimes it’s a bit much. not only do we often come up with the same ideas, but our outfits inexplicably match, EVERY DAY. for rills. and if that isn’t enough, our food allergies match [we're both gluten free]. so, we own a business together, we are always dressed the same and we eat the same. it’s ridiculous, but what can we do? clearly the answer was to combine all our similarities and skills and whipped up a small cookbook.

many of you know that we started a little website called the gluten free lab about a year and a half ago in an effort to encourage all the gluten free folks out there. from that project we have put together a gluten free sweets digest. it was a huge undertaking as we developed and tested all the recipes, styled all the photos and designed the layout…but what an amazing learning experience it was. we gained so much knowledge about putting a book together and styling food photos, that we are excited to pass on to our clients.

for the project, we enlisted molly jackel of jackel media to keep us in line and edited and jessamyn harris to photograph our baked goods. we also had the pleasure of recently re-branding both of their businesses [see their brand new logos debuted on the back cover of the digest]. molly and jessamyn are both incredibly good at what they do and tons of fun to work with.

many of the photos were shot at Relish Culinary Adventure in Healdsburg where we  teach gluten free baking classes. we LOVE their space, it’s open and modern and they have a Heath tile backsplash, [hearts in our eyes]. we really appreciate all the support the Relish ladies provide us.

dig in:sweets will be available on august 1 for $10. check out our website for more details or stop by our office in healdsburg and pick one up.
